Hey @BPLightlog
I’ve had a look, and it sounds like it’s more of a monthly target anyway.
FAQ 4 ‘What happens if I don’t meet the Monthly Target?’ states “If you don’t meet the Monthly Target, you won’t receive the energy credit for that month. But you’ll be able to try and earn credit again for the following month. So there maybe some months you may earn credit while others you may not.”, and FAQ 15 ‘What happens if I don’t hit the target?’ states “We'll only credit you if you hit the specified challenge target. You won’t receive any credit if you fail to meet the target. Each month your target resets, and you’ll have another opportunity to hit the target again to earn rewards”.
You’ll get a handy email mid-way through each month to let you know whether you’re on track to hit the target, and one at the end of the month outlining whether you were successful or not in hitting the Power Move target for the previous month.
Hopefully that’s what you were looking for but just let us know if not, or if there’s more you’d like to know and we can ask further!

Thanks Abby. I was really asking if you had to hit the target every day .. it seems not.
Some days I can be around 5% use during peak and an odd day might reach 13% so if they tot up for each month that should work out.
Still no sign of an invitation email or link from my account -12 days since Tim’s update message. Does this imply that I’m not getting one in this quarter and will have to wait until an invite to join in October……?
Hey @Brizzles55,
The advice still remains:
Power Move isn’t being shown on the online accounts of everyone that’s eligible (FAQ 11 lists eligibility) right now. If you can’t see the link yet, check back soon. We’ll send an email invite as soon as it’s available to everyone.
I’ll keep you updated via this topic.
@BPLightlog I’ve just posed your question about targets to the team
Hey @BPLightlog,
Just got this confirmed- The calculation is worked out as an average over the course of the month. It'll be each weekday's peak % and averaged. So some days you may use more than 12.5% and somedays use less, you'll be rewarded as long as it all averages out over the course of the month to 12.5% or less
Its not clear whether the offered discount if you achieve the energy reduction is applicable to ONLY the electricity consumed, or to the WHOLE bill. I’d like to see achieved discount on the total , especially sine the standing cahrge has risen by such a big amount.
Comments?
Hi @jaybell , this initiative (like those last winter) only look at electricity consumption as that is the main peak overload which causes carbon emissions

The Power Move scheme is explained in detail here: OVO Energy | Power Move FAQs
It only looks at how much electricity you use, not how much it costs. This month, they’re totting up how many kWh you use from 4PM to 7PM on weekdays, and then work that out as a percentage of the total number of kWh for all weekdays in the month. If it’s 12.5% or less, you get the reward. If it isn’t, you don’t.
We have been carefully waiting until after 7pm on some days before using a high usage appliance. However, looking at the breakdown of usage online, anything used between 7.00 and 7.30 seems to be credited to 6.30 to 7.00 and is presumably therefore not within the 4.00 - 7.00 time period. So in effect the time slot is 4.00 - 7.30. I think I have been misled, or does Ovo have a more sophisticated measurement system that is correctly reading usage between 7.00 and 7.30 as qualifying for Power Move? Does anybody know?

10. Does my usage for the entire time slot (e.g. 4pm to 7pm) count towards my peak usage?
No, we only measure your electricity usage in half hourly slots, from the beginning of the Power Move time slot until 30 minutes before the end of the time slot.
For example, if the challenge time slot was 4 to 7pm then we’d count your usage using the 4pm to 6.30pm half hourly slots.
Any electricity used in the 7pm half hourly slot would not be counted towards your 'peak' electricity consumption.
What makes you think that the 7 - 7.30 usage is being counted @I.B. ?
