Power move page seems to be broken, I haven't had the email for the October/December period yet! Anyone know why?
Signed up via the website with no issues. I would not wait for an email....

I’ve not had the email either. I just logged into my account and went to power move, scrolled down past the current one and signed up to the Autumn challenged.
You can also check out the Power Move home page for more on all things Power Move, and sign up there too! Good luck with the challenge
Thanks! Not easy to navigate but have now found it and signed up.
It not easy but I no ever thing is going be right.
I have had an email to join the Autumn Challenge.
The problem being that when I follow the link and login to my account I can’t join because I just get:
Oops, there’s a problem…

Hi
Having received an email from OVO inviting me to sign up to the October - December Power Move intiative I followed the link only to find that the link does not work.
Nor can I see anywhere on the OVO website which allows me to sign up to the Power Move intitiative.
Can anyoone ehelp?

The link in the email doesn’t work on a PC. But it works OK on my mobile. (Who reads their emails on their mobile though when they’re 74 and a computer user for many years?)
I only just discovered this after having many emails from the forum with links I haven’t been able to follow.
Peter log into you ovo account on the website (not the app), then go to powermove and you will see where you have already signed up to the current challenge (assuming you have), scroll past it and you will see the autumn challenge and underneath the button to click on to join.
Hope that helps!
Thanks Ria - I logged into my account on the website but the Powermove option does not appaer to be available on the website.
(I signed up to an earlier offer and receive the payments)
Ah, I have now used a different browser - Chrome rather than Firefox - and I get a differnt home page with the necessarey options so I ahve signed up.
Thanks again.
Peter
I have now managed to get round the’Oops’ enrolment error by using the browser on my Android phone instead of on my computer.
See this for details:
Hey
Sorry to hear this.
Nukecad was also having some error issues initially as they’ve mentioned just above, but managed to work their way around it and have now been able to enrol. I’d recommend checking this topic out where they’ve detailed what they’ve done to get around the errors and get enrolled. Thanks
Hey
I’m glad you managed to get signed up in the end. Firefox has some blockers that sometimes mean it won’t show all of the webpage, so it’s always worth giving another browser a go. Good luck with the Power Move challenge!
The link in the email doesn’t work on a PC.
I’ve no idea whether this is relevant, but some browsers - notably Firefox - routinely block some bits of OVO pages. If you’re on Windows, try using its inbuilt browser - Edge. Unless you change the default browser, you’ll have to copy the link from the email and paste it into Edge’s address bar to see whether that helps.

It was a combination of Firefox and Windows that was causing my problem enroling.
However it was also Firefox browser that I used on my Android phone, and that was successful.
(And hopefully I was in time to get the promised free smartplugs for the first 20,000 enrolments?)
It does seem to me that the webpages have been optimised for mobile use, and not so much for desktops.
I’d suggest that anyone else having problems with the webpages tries a different (Chrome/Chromium based) browser such as Edge and/or a different Operating System, most people will have Android OS on a phone or tablet
Thanks to those who took the time to respond. I thought I had implied in my post that I had found the App on my Android phone works OK and I had a;ready signed up for the Power Move using the App. I just thought OVO might like to know that it’s not just one person finding that link not working. (I was using MS Edge on the PC - I don’t normally use the App)
Just so you know, Firefox on Android basically runs on Chromium rather than Gecko/Quantum so it’s effectively Chrome.
Is there a problem with power move I have had several emails over the past couple of months to join but every time I log in I always get the same message.
Power Move
Oops, there’s a problem…

Anyone know why this is always happening.
Have you tried accessing it directly through your account page?

I had the same problem. In the end, I tried a different browser (Chrome). That worked.
Also use Chrome and have no problems. A lot of companies, my bank being one of them have stopped supporting certain browsers including Microsoft Edge, Bing and Firefox in favour of Chrome. Something to do with security but not sure what exact problem is.
Internet Explorer and Microsoft Edge Legacy are massively outdated because they’re one and the same. It’s not surprising that banks won’t support them anymore.
MS Edge Chromium is basically Google Chrome with a ton of Microsoft bloatware junk added on top - if you’re using ChrEdge, you might as well just use Chrome instead anyway tbh.
Thanks I'ma tried the link but still the same message also tried to installing chrome browser but only having a small netbook with a chip instead of a proper hard drive I get insificant space to install so I think I will just give power move a miss but thanks all for your advice I appreciate it.
And that’s exactly why Microsoft banned the use of eMMC Storage with Windows 11 :)
