How do I see top up receipts/history on the new PAYG app?

Hi, I’ve used the new app today but it hasn’t sent me a payment receipt via email or text like the old one did and I cannot see top-up history anywhere in the new app. 
I have notifications enabled etc same as on the old app so I’m not sure how I’m meant to get a copy of my receipt.

I spoke with the team, and they informed me that if you top up through the app, you will not receive a payment receipt unless you are a guest topping up on behalf of someone else. 

 

 

If you click onto the fuel type, i.e. into the ‘Electricity’ section or ‘Gas’ section depending on which history you want to check, you should be able to view the top-up history in there.

 

 

 

 

You can view your top-up history by selecting the option at the bottom of the screen. This page will show all top-ups made using the new app, but it will not display any top-ups made on the older app, as they're two different apps.

That’s great thank you for confirming that.

i was worried about not having the payment receipt code if the top up didn’t go through but now you’ve pointed out where I can find the top up history I’ve found the top up code is connected to that so that has eased my mind.

Hello,

I just read a thread on here about where to find top up history on the new Ovo app.  The reply said you can find them at the bottom of the screen.  I can't find where that is.  Can someone enlighten me please?  Thank You in advance

The new app was working fine for atleast a month. 

 

What on earth has happened in the last week or two. So many nonsensical issues and changes out of nowhere? 

You can't send me a new IUD or whatever is called so surely the app needs to reflect the correct balance at much regular intervals?

Hello,

When I looked yesterday I noticed a top up done on the app for £6 on 19th June wasn't showing.  It   seems to be only showing top ups done on line though.

Do you know what meter model you have? I know some meter types don’t always have a compatible IHD available, so it could just be unfortunately that it’s an older meter with a diminished supply of IHDs.

Can you share with me a screenshot or video of where the 'top-up history' is please. I can't seem to find it. 

 

Surely, it would be a good idea to have it on the home page? 

 

Edit: To check my top-up history, I have to tap on the green electric bolt icon.....that is so silly. There is no idication on the screen to point you to 'payment history' 

 

That is horrible UX/UI, please implement a change and please urge the developers to go read up on Nielsen Norman and the principles of UX.

They have got horrible UX/UI. Top-up history should be an easy thing to locate. It should be clearly labelled either in the 'home' section or in the 'topup' section of the app.

Great reference. Let’s hope the developers of the O2 pay as you go app see this too - there is no way at all of seeing top up history on that app.

My last 3 credit card top-ups (electricity) through the new app do not show in the top-up history. 

There are no points of reference for the transactions other than going through a bank and physically looking on the meters to see if they've gone through (as IHD and new app balances lag  or in this case, don't show in history). 

I'm failing to see the convenience of this change. 

Are Apple & Google pay users having any better luck getting transactions to show in their history?

My similar observations via the new app feedback group. Which never listened to feedback.

Thank you, my missing purchases filtered through - the last one appeared about 3am last night.

Now I guess the important question - is this fixed, is it a bug, will I need to go through this everytime?

I'm kind of dreading topping up now in case it triggers needing to come to the forum and highlight the app not doing what it's meant to again. This can't be a practical way to get correct records of transactions. You guys won't want constant requests to get histories updated. 

Can we get some type of official response as to what is causing it or the reasoning for not updating the top-up history when the transaction takes place? I'm guessing that it isn't a customer issue as it can be fixed at OVO's end. 

Thank you for your help - it clearly worked. 

I think a bit of reassurance about what to do next if it repeats itself and a bit of clarity as to what is at issue would go a long way too.
