Why has my Tariff name changed?

My tariff hasn’t changed since I fixed it last year. On my March bill, its name was given as:
Extended Fixed 27 February 2025

On my April bill its name has changed to:
Extended Fixed 27 February 2025 LPC

There’s no mention of LPC anywhere on the Our prices | OVO Energy page. 

What is the meaning and significance of LPC?  Should I be worried?

I’m glad to see you all got to the bottom of that one in the end. I did have the team confirm and yes, that is the Levy Policy Change.

It's the tariff reduction that happened at the start of April.

I'm on a fixed loyalty plan, but see similar with it changing and “LPC” being added to the plan name after the reduction on April 1st.

    Loss Prevention Charge (LPC)

    Not exactly indicative but that’s the marker of the April tariff reduction.

        There’s a few things it could stand for, eg. ‘Legislated Price Change’ or ‘Lowered Price charge’.

        Maybe one of the mods could find out?

        I should add that ‘Loss prevention’ conjures up images of beefy bailiffs escorting a forensic electrician tasked with cutting the illegal power supply to a cannabis farm. I can’t spot the connection to the removal of some government levies from my bills.

        ETA: It’s a bit odd that the figures given on the Our prices | OVO Energy page show the current, LPC rates, but that may be for fixed-rate tariffs that are still extant (e.g. Extended Fixed 12/12/2024, which might still have a month left to run, or the ambiguously-named 2 Year Fixed 18 April 2024 - 18/02/2024, which hasn’t however you choose to look at it).
