What are the advantages of joining Ovo.

Hi @Vinnie-Voltage ,

I’m Blastoise186, one of the forum volunteers and an OVO member myself.

I’d say there’s five main advantages to OVO, based on my experience:

  1. This forum is unique because we’re able to give you a ton of advice anytime you need it, completely free of charge - but we don’t replace the official Support Team
  2. OVO is currently launching a new way of doing support, which massively improves the experience
  3. OVO’s billing platform is custom built by their sister company Kaluza
  4. The smart meters OVO uses are mostly Aclara and Flonidan, with the IHDs being Chameleon IHD6 or Chameleon IHD7 - which are way better than some of the other options out there (and easier to diagnose!)
  5. OVO listens to feedback and new ideas about how to improve. If you have ideas about how to improve the online stuff, you’re always welcome to post an Idea right here on the forum
