We’re excited to announce today the launch of the OVO Foundation Nature Prize in partnership with Let’s Go Zero, the national zero carbon schools campaign.

We believe that schools play a key role in empowering the next generation to take climate action. Through OVO Foundation’s funding, the Nature Prize gives schools and their students the chance to win up to £1,000 to implement a nature project within their grounds, improving biodiversity, creating spaces for students to connect with nature and kickstarting climate action.

Schools, nurseries, and colleges across the UK (excluding independent schools) can enter the Nature Prize competition with ideas designed by their students. There are 25 prizes available: 10 prizes of £1,000 and 15 prizes of £200. Project ideas might involve tree planting, vegetable growing, or supporting wildlife in the school grounds, but schools can be as creative as they like in their entries.

Find out more about the Prize and how schools can enter here: https://letsgozero.org/the-ovo-foundation-nature-prize/

Deadline for applications is Monday 6th March!

Over the next three years of our charity’s partnership with Ashden, funding will support over 37,000 children and young people to get closer to nature through the OVO Foundation Nature Prize.

OVO Foundation is also proud to support the Let’s Go Zero campaign, which connects nearly 2,000 schools aiming to reach zero carbon by 2030. Every school that signs up to Let’s Go Zero is pledging to take action on the climate crisis, while calling for the UK government’s much-needed support to help them reach their zero carbon goals.
