Harassed by scams and collections

I've never been with OVO and I've been called incessantly by several numbers and voicemails left. Looking at this forum I've called 08000699831 but after 15min on hold, I got through to someone who asked if I have an OVO account number. I said no, I've never been with OVO. She asked if I've ever been with OVO and I said no, I've never been with OVO. She hung up the call.

I've been called repeatedly by 01173746078. I've had the following text message. It's impossible to get through to anyone

in OVO but more importantly, the numbers that are being posted by the community users are useless or probably a scam too.

Calls originating from  01173746078 are “Energy scam” calls originating from overseas.

Complaining to OVO is fruitless because OVO have no control over the scammers.

0117 3746078 is landline located in Bristol, England and assigned to Gamma Telecom Holdings Limited. Although its dialling code is associated with Bristol, this number uses VoIP technology, so the actual caller location cannot be determined.

The scammers use different numbers when pretending to be different energy companies.

Ignore the calls from that number or block the number.
Definitely do not call the number back.
