Great to see, @Blastoise186 giving the goods in how to sign up to the Priority Services Register@Robert Pope.

This free service is invaluable to making sure your supply is prioritised if there’s planned outages or power cuts. So it’s really important to sign up and notify us of any mains-dependent medical equipment.

At the moment the Priority Services Register doesn’t affect the plans and prices available to you and won’t cover the costs of energy used to power medical equipment. However there may be alternative financial support available to help cover this cost. The Warm Home Discount offers an annual winter payment to eligible households, read more about the upcoming changes to the scheme this winter here.

Priority Services Register (PSR)

You can sign up if you or anyone in your household might need support when it comes to managing your energy. This could be because of a medical reason, you’re pregnant, you have children under 5, you’re over 65, or you don’t read or speak English well.

What does the PSR offer?

  • Gas Safety Checks

  • Engineer Passwords where you can agree a password with your supplier that the engineer will give you before entering your property

  • Adapted communications including black & white print, braille, large print

  • Warnings about planned power cuts in your area

  • Regular meter readers to attend your property

Find out more about it here.

You asked on the forum a year ago about getting an In Home Device (IHD).

At that time you had a reply from Blastoise186:

Is getting a new IHD still the issue that you are having a problem with?

If not then who was it that you asked for help ‘a few weeks ago’ , was it on the phone, on webchat, or somewhere else?

I said, Hey - Watts going on.
