Mercedes Me and Charge Anytime issues- Not receiving verification code

The app was working fine for a few months, but today I received a notification that the car was not connected to the app and needed to be reconnected. I tried to reconnect, but I am not receiving an email from Mercedes with the verification code. I have not encountered this issue before. I have checked my Mercedes me login, email, and junk folder. Do you have any other suggestions?

To update all Forum Members who are part of the Mercedes / Beta Pilot:

This is still a pilot, and some issues - like the 50% total charge problem - may take time to resolve. As a result, the Charge Anytime team is unable to provide further updates at this time.

If the limitations you're experiencing outweigh the benefits of the Charge Anytime add-on, we recommend leaving the pilot for now while we work on improving the service.

We’re sorry for any frustration this may cause. Please keep an eye on the Forum for updates - we’ll share any new developments as soon as we have them.

You can exit the Mercedes Beta Pilot at any time by taking the following steps:

  • Open the OVO Charge app
  • Click on the "Account" tab in the bottom right
  • Click on the User icon in the top left
  • Click the "Delete account" link
  • Select a reason for leaving and click "Continue"
  • Your app account will now be deleted and there will be no further connection or interaction between your car and the OVO system
  • Note: You will still be credited for any smart charging that you have done up to this point

My Mercedes app works now, and I can reconnect to the OVO charge anytime, thank you all for useful comments

Hello everyone,

I've combined a few similar threads to streamline communication and ensure you receive updates as soon as they're available.

Currently, the Charge Anytime team is investigating an issue between Enode and Mercedes that has been affecting some of our customers since Friday. Unfortunately, this issue is preventing many customers from connecting to Charge Anytime.

We're actively working with Kaluza to investigate and resolve the issue as quickly as possible. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and will provide an update as soon as we have more information.

Nice!

Just so you know, Enode has stated publicly that they’re also working on a fix their side too. That won’t automatically fix things for Charge Anytime, but I wouldn’t be surprised if any fixes they implement make it easier for OVO/Kaluza to get the show back on the road.

If there’s any further news, you’ll see it here on the Forum

To be honest, the previous reliance on ‘TAN Codes’ always struck me as a nuisance at best - requiring coming out of the mobile app to open up an email to get a code, to go back into the mobile app to plug it in.. Far better to do what they’ve now done this weekend, and just ask for the Mercedes Me password directly.

Sweet! I’ll let the Forum Moderators know that it worked for you.

Keep us posted if anyone else is able to reconnect. The more confirmations that get posted, the more confident I can be about it.

Thank you for all your help and support. I’m finally logged back in! I did have to fully charge the car yesterday so let’s see how I get on with that being rectified.

Enode has pinged me an update - reconnecting should now be possible but if you were affected by this, then you must reconnect to continue using Charge Anytime. I’m afraid you won’t get CA credits until you do - so definitely worth checking the app!
