Mercedes Me and Charge Anytime issues- Not receiving verification code

The app was working fine for a few months, but today I received a notification that the car was not connected to the app and needed to be reconnected. I tried to reconnect, but I am not receiving an email from Mercedes with the verification code. I have not encountered this issue before. I have checked my Mercedes me login, email, and junk folder. Do you have any other suggestions?

To update all Forum Members who are part of the Mercedes / Beta Pilot:

This is still a pilot, and some issues - like the 50% total charge problem - may take time to resolve. As a result, the Charge Anytime team is unable to provide further updates at this time.

If the limitations you're experiencing outweigh the benefits of the Charge Anytime add-on, we recommend leaving the pilot for now while we work on improving the service.

We’re sorry for any frustration this may cause. Please keep an eye on the Forum for updates - we’ll share any new developments as soon as we have them.

You can exit the Mercedes Beta Pilot at any time by taking the following steps:

  • Open the OVO Charge app
  • Click on the "Account" tab in the bottom right
  • Click on the User icon in the top left
  • Click the "Delete account" link
  • Select a reason for leaving and click "Continue"
  • Your app account will now be deleted and there will be no further connection or interaction between your car and the OVO system
  • Note: You will still be credited for any smart charging that you have done up to this point

My Mercedes app works now, and I can reconnect to the OVO charge anytime, thank you all for useful comments

Hiya!

I’m escalating this to the Forum Moderators and the Charge Anytime team as a priority. For the root cause, it seems to be this: https://status.enode.com/incidents/01JJYPX05P14F7NBFPH7XXB9DJ

We’ll keep you posted either via this temporary answer or via a more permanent solution when we know more.

If you have a supported Charger, we recommend you connect to Charge Anytime via that instead of via the EV - Ohme, Indra, Hypervolt and Anderson are all supported so should work fine.

Hi Blastoise186

Thank you so much for the feedback and escalating this to the Forum Moderators. I’m a complete novice to how this all works as this is my first electric car and only had it 6 weeks!

Do you know how I reconnect my car to Enode? I’ve googled it but it’s not clear.

My home charger is a Podpoint and there’s nothing wrong with that so fortunately I can still charge. My frustration is it will be at a much higher rate than it should and will I be reimbursed for the overcharge or perhaps a full credit for the bad experience and lack of support!

Can someone official from OVO look at this and at least say you are trying to sort it , it makes a massive difference to people’s bills with your app not working . Mercedes have told me it’s at your end not theirs

Same issue here. Did changing email address work for anyone else? I’ve tried using email and SMS verification but no codes received.

This needs work from the Charge Anytime team before it’ll function again.

Bear with me - an update on this will be coming soon!

You should be able to once I’ve had the Charge Anytime team and/or the Forum Moderators get back to me with the green light.

This is VERY much on my radar to discuss with them first thing in the morning so I’ll let you know for definite when I know more.

Just so you know, someone else might beat me to it and post before I do, but please feel free to consider any Forum Moderator response to be just as good - because that works too (and would actually override me because Forum Moderator > Forum Volunteer)!

Having the same issue after trying to connect my Mercedes for the first time with the charge anytime app over the last few days.

Has this issue been resolved?

I’m afraid it couldn’t be resolved yet as it mostly happened over the weekend when the team aren’t around. I can see it’s still not resolved upstream.

Hang in there - I’m talking to the Forum Moderators about it at the moment.
