CUPRA Formentor won't connect to Charge Anytime?

Hi All,

I recently purchased a CUPRA Formentor Hybrid. I enrolled in the Charge Anytime. The app worked brilliantly for a week or so and today I noticed something was wrong. I connected my car to change it and the app couldn’t not detect it, simply said car is unplugged and odd thing was it connected with the car last at 5:30 am… it was after 15:00 when I noticed that. I thought I’d remove the car from charge anytime app followed by app removal and re adding it all. All I get now is a screen where my schedule should be that says : Please wait few minutes whilst we finish connecting to your CUPRA. I raised it with them too but they simply responded it’s out of their scope and they can’t see any issues. Has anybody experienced anything like this before? How was it fixed? Thanks

Hi @Miker27,

Many thanks for posting and welcome to the Forum. I’ve awarded you your EV badge 😁.

@stephens / @Blurb thanks for your involvement here too. Just to let you all know I’ve spoken to a colleague in the Charge Anytime team, and she’s advised that they have a couple of contacts over in Enode. Enode have advised:

This is something Enode are aware of and are investigating. A fix has been implemented and we are monitoring the results.

I hope this helps, and I hope this is fixed soon!

We’ve got a great Charge Anytime FAQ’s page here. If you’re a Charge Anytime customer experiencing issues with your app, charger or vehicle and can’t find the answer you need, our Charge Anytime team can be contacted via ovocharge@ovo.com.

Morning @Miker27,

Thanks for letting us know what they’ve come back to you with - hopefully it’ll be fixed ASAP.

@divinemadness maybe it’d be worth you raising a ticket with Cupra support as well… Just to let you know I’ve applied the EV badge to your profile.

Just so everyone is aware, I called them and they sent me this shortly after:

Unfortunately from previous experience of Cupra support, i’d be just as well raising smoke signals from a bin in my garden instead of a support ticket for all the good it will do.

Sorry to hear how difficult they’ve been to contact in the past @divinemadness.

It would seem, from @Miker27’s very helpful update (many thanks) that Cupra are aware of a widespread issue here. Hopefully they’ll fix it for you all asap.

I think on top of CUPRA issues there are Cloudfare problems affecting OVO Energy and Smart Charge apps. OVO Energy doesn’t load and smart charge doesn’t show my car and displays error.

@Miker27 the Cloudfare outage was causing us issues, however everything seems to be working fine today on that end of things. Hopefully your apps should load now.

Had an email from CUPRA saying outage is fixed. I still can’t get a connection to ovo smart charge. It just says plug vehicle in to start charging when it’s already connected.

Morning @Miker27,

Is this still the case today? I’ve asked internally if anyone has any suggestions, and will let you know if I hear back.

@Miker27 our Charge Anytime team have recommended removing the car and re-adding it to re-establish the connection:

Account - Device - Remove, Account - Device - Add.

Let me know whether this works.

Hi I’ve done it many times so I think it’s still a CUPRA issue. When I re-add I get this for hours when it eventually comes up. But mostly it seems car doesn’t update for hours and hours.

It’s so annoying how they are so bad at customer updates and basically saying it’s fixed where it isn’t. I am never getting a CUPRA ever again.
