Just wondering if someone can help. Looking at the average household of our size ( 2 / 3 bedroom bungalow) monthly bill for an OVO customer on a google search is £49.00 l am worried that something is wrong when we are paying a monthly direct debit of £480? Any advice. We don’t think we are heavy energy users but our kWh seems inordinately high and has done for a while.

If you’re able to check your meter readings you can get an idea if they match what you see in your account and then check against your tariff.
If you have a smart meter, you need to see if readings are being sent and used or if figures are estimates. If you don’t have a smart meter then you can update your usage via your own meter readings.
If the results still seem high, you can begin to check if there might be any problem with an appliance or circuit

I've only been a OVO customer for 2 weeks and am using the app to monitor my usage. I live in a one bed flat and my usage is already nearly 50% higher than the figure that they quote similar sized properties use. Does anyone know why this could be?
I will also add that my flat is solely run on electric and I have storage heaters in the property.

+5There are various comparisons used in those examples unfortunately and not many too helpful (in my opinion).
They use examples like homes they supply rather than in general. They also focus on certain categories like no of bedrooms rather than the real property match.
However, being electric heating only will of course skew a few things anyway.
