Where's my EV usage for the month gone?

In the desktop version of the Ovo website I’ve always been able to see how much my EV has cost for the month, and how much my house. I enter the details into a spreadsheet every month end.

That’s gone today and the only detail I can see now is my “savings” on the Ovo Beyond app.

I wish they’d stop messing about. :(

Please, Please,

Displaying a monthly cost of running your EV.    this will make life so much easier.  foe folks who have to put these costs through accountants.  doing tax returns is a lot of work..

what you get out of the indra app and anytime app just don’t make sense

recent example of mines.

 Thrusday 21st Aug

35.7 kwh used     Smart Charge  £5.31.

when it should be around  £2.60..

thanks

Hey @Gingernut49,

I’m sorry to hear this,

I’ll ask internally & report back. I wonder if any other EV owners are seeing the same?

I see this too. Digging around, the only thing I can find to help is an amount in my bill for “Charge Anytime Credit”.

Hey @Gingernut49 & @MikeyB,

I have a response from the team:

If you’re indra and have migrated to the new indra app & charge anytime app it wont show in your ev any more. It'll all be logged in the 'savings' section of the Charge Anytime app instead. If you're ohme the team will need an account number to look into it.

How to get in contact with the Charge Anytime team

  • Charge Anytime - 0330 175 9678 (Option 1 new customers/option 2 existing customers)

  • chargeanytime@ovo.com

I don’t want to know how much I’ve saved. I want to know how much it’s cost me. I can’t see anywhere even the total kWh I’ve used charging the car. I don’t want to have to scroll through, calculator in hand.

It’s very annoying.

Hi @Gingernut49 , you’ve got an Indra like me, I think?  You can get a total for the monthly kWh from the Indra phone app.

However if you want actual costs, once you’ve set up the right numbers in its ‘Electricity Supply’ settings, it can tell you the total cost per month.

Annoyingly though, it’s got no knowledge of OVO tariffs, let alone the Charge Anytime bolt-on, so this is subject to limitations, sadly.

If all your charging is at Charge Anytime rate, it’ll be fine. If you do some full-price boost charging it won’t, as there’s no provision for a type-of-use tariff.

Thank you MikeyB! That’ll do nicely.

for people who need to show how much you EV cost per month to the  Accountant,  loosing this functionality is a complete pain.

has anyone else manage to get a simpler way ?

cheers

The only way will be to look at your charger app at how many kWh you've used and multiply it by 7p.
