We're now installing Dual band comms hubs....

Hey Plan Zero Heroes - @Transparent and @Blastoise186 ,

 

Bit of an exclusive update for you here:

The Dual Band Comms Hub is available

To improve the Home Area Network (HAN) for our members, the Dual Band Comms Hub has been made available for Smart Meter Installations.

 

This means we won’t have to ask HAN-related questions any more while booking, as this will work for 96.5% of all premises. So fewer cancellations because members have their meters on different floors! 

 

We won’t go into the technical details here, but if you’d like to know more, click here.

    I’m absolutely mind blown! Any chance of getting Raichu’s Comms Hub upgraded and a Dual-Band IHD to go with it? XD

    I could do with a Kecleon Blue after all...

    Seriously, it would definitely be helpful for me and any future tenants!

    And yes, this should go public as soon as we’re ready.

    Actually… While you’re at it, could I get it to be Mesh capable as well? You know, just in case anyone nearby needs a boost… :stuck_out_tongue:

    By the way @Jess_OVO , are you ok with us telling people about these Dual-Band Comms Hubs publicly now? I’m assuming we can, but I’d rather be sure first.

    Haha - Knew this would be of interest to you, which is why we’ve given you the inside scoop!

     

    We know that the Dual Band comms hubs will be used in future installs but haven’t yet had confirmation about whether we’d offer to fit them retroactively for existing installs (I’d suspect it might only be if there was an out-of-range gas meter but even then it’s not a given)

     

    Might be best to keep this one under-wraps until we hear more, Blaster! :wink:
