I’ve just had a call from a 3rd party (I didn’t catch there name) asking if they could arrange to come look at my pay as you go meter as OVO had requested this. I asked why and they said an issue had flagged that they wanted looking at. I explained that it was working fine and asked what issue had flagged. She said she did not have this information and asked if I would agree to a visit. She said the planning team would ring me with possible dates. Is this a legit call? I’m not sure why it would be a scam but shouldn’t OVO have told me if there is an issue? Has anyone else had this call?
Random call requesting visit - why?

Hey
There are a couple of reasons our teams would arrange for one of our 3rd parties to come out and look at the meter. If you could provide a photo to us as Blastoise186 asked, we might be able to know why.
I would also ask, do you have the phone number they called from? This might give us a better idea about the legitimacy of the call.
As Blastoise186 mentioned, you will be able to check with the Support Team for the same record of this request, and they may have more information to hand as to what the visit is for. We don’t have access to accounts here at the Forum to know for sure, so it’ll be best to get in touch with the team.
