Power Move Flex Invite Today For November (!?)

Did anyone else get a power move flex email today notifying of a power down for 02 November, 4:00 PM to 4:30 PM??

As the invites usually come in at some point on the previous day to the event, I’m wondering if there’s  a power down (or up) tomorrow??

Over the 18 months, Power Move Flex (as part of CrowdFlex) has shifted 864,700 kWh's and paid out over £1.02 million in bill credits.

We've had over 100,000 customers take part over the 3 trials in which Power Move Flex helped match the demand to the power being generated. So homed used cleaner, greener energy.

The trials were aimed at understanding how households can contribute to a greener electricity grid. The learnings we gathered from being part of these trials will be essential for the Electricity System Operator to plan for the future of the electricity grid, and how our customers can play a role in this. Together we've been making energy better for people and the planet. 

 

Our current trials are now closed, and we'd like to thank our users for their participation.

Yes- I presume it’s a mistake and am awaiting the correction - Otherwise I’ll put it in my diary for November next year !

I had one too, but for 4:00 to 4:30 PM on 2 November. I’m sure they’ll come back with a correction.

If it is meant for tomorrow and they know they’ve sent the wrong info out why haven’t they corrected it yet? It was hours ago. Sometimes I think they don’t actually want us to succeed in this so they don’t have to pay out, even the few pence offered. The recent Power Up beween 4am and 7am was a non-started unless you have an electric car or work weird hours!

They were working on it this afternoon. They’ll update you all soon but I can’t reach the team at this hour.

As for the money thing? OVO essentially gets reimbursed via CrowdFlex and pays 100% of that to you. It’s not OVO’s money at play here!

There was a fault with the system today - the actual event is tomorrow.

The team will be sending a correction before it starts.

Yes I got it too. It's now gone midnight and still haven't had an email correcting this.

When I said “tomorrow” I didn’t mean literally right after midnight - it’s 00:22 at the time I write this and everyone at OVO is basically asleep right now. I too will be heading to bed as soon as this goes up.

The team handling PMF doesn’t exactly run on a Follow The Sun model here, please try to be a bit more patient and wait for them to actually wake up and hit working hours first. I can’t get any updates until then anyway, so your best bet is just going to bed for now and check back in after 10am.

Just for clarification. (Based on the forum discussion that this was meant for today (11/12/24). 
And for those who are currently 75% through the phantom event.

 

Is the lack of impact you refer to both positive and negative?

i.e This was a phantom event which never happened even though some may have taken part based on previous notice period patterns and discussion in the forum?

“This”? We’ve seen at least two different dates and at least two different time slots. What is today’s (Wednesday 11 December) event? 

I assume that those who powered down for the 8-9 AM slot today did so in vain. Can ​@Abby_OVO confirm?

So everything was wrong? Date, time and even what sort of move it was.

I’m out this evening, so i have programmed my heater to come on at 8pm. I am an all electric household, so heat on demand.

Exactly Firedog, but all I got in reply from Blastoise186 was sarcasm 🙄 when I actually thought these things were computerised and this is a 24 hour world now. Guess that'll teach me eh?
