Perovskite solar panels

They do sound a step forward @juliamc but from what I’ve seen it may be a while yet before they are in ‘mass’ production - who knows what follows as well. 

Ooooh interesting stuff, just had a look into this. It seems they might start being delivered to consumers at the end of this year. I wonder if we’ll get an influx of recipients on the Forum, and can ask about their experiences. 

I’m no expert, but did read the following which sounds slightly concerning; material stability & toxicity issues- the use of toxic lead in perovskite which is an environmental concern?

but as far as I’m aware, there are challenges remaining to fully deliver the technology
