Hi, I am looking to sign up to the £7 a month boiler servicing scheme. 2 questions.

Is it a good scheme ?

How long after signing up can you get your boiler serviced ?

TIA

Hi @Tigers2010…I’ve just checked, and I *think* this may have just reduced to £2 per month.  Sounds pretty good if that’s the case…

BUT as always read the small print to check just what is included…you have to be an OVO Beyond customer to get the £2 offer (you have to sign up for 12 months, after which it’s no longer at £2 per month) and you need to have a smart meter….

An annual boiler service (for £24 for the first year) is certainly tempting…

Here’s an extract from the “legal bit” of the offer:

=======

This Offer entitles OVO Beyond customers to receive our Annual Boiler Service for £2 a month for 12 months.

Our Annual Boiler Service is a one-off boiler service which the customer pays for in 12 monthly instalments.

See the full details of what is included in the Annual Boiler Service.

To take advantage of the Offer you have to be an OVO Beyond customer, with a smart meter, paying by monthly direct debit.  For this offer, you'll need to sign up for a 12 month Annual Boiler Service contract and provide payment details in order to set up a Direct Debit.

3. How it works

3.1 Your Annual Boiler Service contract is for twelve (12) months. After this period your contract will automatically renew for a further twelve (12) months unless you cancel before your renewal date by contacting us on 0330 102 8905 or emailing hi@ovoenergy.com.

Please note that when your Annual Boiler Service product renews it will no longer be subject to the discount applied as a part of this Offer and you'll pay the full product price which applies at the time.

=========

Good luck, let us know what you decide…

Anyone here use OVO for annual boiler service.

I had a new boiler and rads fitted last June by independent fitter but I don’t want the same bloke back to service. I just do not like how the fit went in respect of finishing touches etc and will not be contacting him again.

Who do OVO use? is it just a local to me on their list? or dedicated team?

TIA

I use a reliable local man who is very reasonable and didn't think it looked financially very advantageous to pay for an inclusive tariff.

Had the boiler cover with SSE never again!

They didn't turn up half the time after i took time off work, then would reschedule and not turn up.

I use my installer now from 3 yrs ago.

Howdy @Camlin ,

The answer to that is yes. Per the terms. you’d be entitled to one free annual boiler service as part of the deal.
