Issues with set up of Charge Anytime app (wall charger is ABBA and is not compatible, but car is but beta mode)

Hi newbie here,  recently acquired a RAV4 PHEV and wall charger.  Wall charger is ABBA and is not compatible, but car is  (Beta mode).

Now I pugged the charging cables into the wall charger and the car at 14.30 (last updated time stamp on the CA APP),  It is now 1515 and the app is still saying car unplugged.

I had set it to charge by 1600 hrs to check so as to check the whole thing worked, but how do I know?  the app says allow up to 30 mins for the car to send an update. but that time has been and gone, and nothing is happening.

no charging schedule in the car, none on the wall charged, just in the CA app?  What am I doing wrong?

the car and the toyota app can communicate via wifi,

Cheers

Craig

Hey @aka Keith

It seems the message was automatically flagged as spam, apologies for that, I’ve rectified.

Hi, I tried earlier today, and did craft a response but it seem to be need to go to moderators and looks to have disappeared.

So tried  resetting the “ready by time on the CA app.  Waited 20 mins, plugged the car cables in.  waited 90mins nothing happened(the CA app was still showing last updated some 90 mins previously and still saying that the car was unplugged)  So authorized the charge on the Toyota app, and the CA app changed to smart charging.  so it works in part - it appears to start charging as soon as you authorize it via the toyota app, rather than let the CA app control the charging.

This is helpful feedback, the team have advised that: We do expect a lower level of reliability with Beta trial vehicles. Their app 'last updated' some time a go. If it's not updated for that long  I'd recommend they unplug the car, set a new Ready By time and wait 15 minutes before plugging it back in. But failing to charge in this instance does sound like the Beta trial Toyota just being slow to update us that the car is plugged in.

With Beta trial vehicles there often is teething issues but if you have any further problems, please reach out to the charge anytime team:

Thanks all,

Lets see if anything has changed.

I set the Be ready time on the CA app for 1800 hrs today @ 1409hrs. (only need a small charge  25% - but seeing if anything has changed).  plugged the cables into the car and charger @ 1425hrs.  It is now 1541hrs, the CA app says last updated 1409, and  it says the car is still unplugged.

Hey ho
