Hey @Paulh18765 ,

Yup! You’ll need to chat with OVO first - please call 0330 175 9678 and the Charge Anytime can help you transition over.

Hi,

Do I have to install a new Indra app if I have the existing one?

Have just tried connecting my charger (Indra SmartPro) and haven’t been successful - getting error message ‘Charger not available’??.

Have emailed Indra support for advice too.

Jasmin

Hi @Jasmin10 ,

If you have the Modern Indra Android/iOS app, that’s the one you’ll want along with the Charge Anytime app. Post migration, you won’t use the Legacy Web App anymore.

Can we revert back? only had this new app for a few days, after 3 years of no issues I'm now finding I'm waking up without the car being charged, swapping from one car to the other after it's charged just means the app is sitting on preparing, I've been trying for 2 hours to top my car up for midday charged it to 80% leaving at midday need more charge can't seem to do it, just sits on planning charge.

I've had 2 successful charges out of numerous attempts, rebooted charger, replugges, waiting half hour replugges, it's just a terrible experience and for the first time has me looking at other energy companies

I have an Indra charger. I just installed the new ChargeAnytime and Indra apps as per the Ovo email from Thursday.

Tried to charge the car last night, but it didn't charge. All looked OK in the two apps.

Does anyone have any ideas? I'm not very impressed that someone chose to roll out these updates just before the weekend when no support from Ovo or Indra is available.

Thanks

Rob

I'm really frustrated with it, first time in years waking up to not having a charged car, we have 2 cars and swapping between them seems to fail.

Been trying for 2 hours this morning to get the car charged from 80% to 100% as yesterday I didn't know I'd be driving as far, leaving at 12 thiught I'd have plenty of time to top it up.

Having moved to the new Indra and ChargeAnytime apps my car failed to charge last night despite everything looking OK on the apps.

No support available from Ovo or Indra till Monday of course. No idea how to resolve this - very disappointing.

This has worked for me but I now have no ability to download charging history.  Will this be made available?

AFAIK you can’t revert back once you’ve migrated. It could just be some teething issues and that’s expected with new stuff like this.

That’s all I know.

I even tried rebooting the charger with the network cable unplugged hoping it would fall back to dumb mode for an hour or so, just completely lost my patience, I've worked in it support, written albeit simpler business programs and I just can't fathom how it's so bad.

Did email support a few days back which did come off a bit ranty I guess but after being plugged in for 10 hours overnight and still sitting on planning charge for 6am at 7am I kind of lost it. At least we have a supercharger down the road for such occasions

I think I’ve got this working - but I’m a bit confused by the Indra App settings.

It wants me to add my Electricity Supplier, so I choose OVO. Then in the next step it says ‘Select your tariff, but no tariffs are listed for me to choose from. If I lie and choose Octopus or Eon etc etc, there’s a long list of their tariffs, but for OVO - nothing. So I have to enter the tariff manually - I’m on 1-year Fixed Loyalty. I can then enter the tariff price and end date. Once done, it then lists the Supplier as ‘Custom’, rather than OVO.

But there’s no mention of Charge Anytime, nor any way to add that info.

Have I gone wrong somehow?

Nope, you’re on the right track.

You now need the Charge Anytime app, which will work in tandem with the Indra app:

Android: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.kaluza.flex.anytime

iOS: https://apps.apple.com/gb/app/charge-anytime/id1660027420

That’ll guide you through.

Ya, done that too. I seem to have got it linked to the Indra Charger too. It did  4.89kWh charging and then stopped, and it currently says “Charging next after 20:00”

BUT the Indra app says that 4.89kWh has cost me £1.06 - because it doesn’t apparently know about Charge Anytime. That’s the bit I’m worrying about!

That sounds correct to me - OVO’s system will apply appropriate bill credits later so you get the Charge Anytime rates.

If you set the tariff as Custom on the Indra App, you may want to change the settings there.

I will ask for expert thoughts on this one, bear with us.

Thanks. My point is that it only seems to be OVO tariffs that the Indra App doesn't know about, which is odd.

I can definitely get that passed on as feedback to the teams. I suspect it can be quickly fixed.

Morning @robn and welcome to the OVO Forum! I’ve awarded your EV badge 😁.

@robn, @stead sorry for the issues you’re experiencing. I’d recommend having a look at this Forum topic, as there are a few people discussing issues and fixes:

It might be worth you contacting Indra:

They can be contacted by phone using 01684 770 631, or by email at support@indra.co.uk (https://www.indra.co.uk/contact/).

Our own Charge Anytime team can be contacted at chargeanytime@ovo.com.

I hope this helps!

Done! That suggestion has been sent to Indra. They’re looking into it.

They wanted to mention that they’re also working like mad to get everyone migrated over at the moment and are also working pretty hard to get everything stable. If you spot things that seem a little wonky, try again later as I’ve heard there’s a LOT of load putting pressure on their systems at certain parts of the day.

Please don’t forget they’re also only a small team. They’d like to thank everyone who’s been patient with them as it means a lot to them.

Thanks, set up now - to a degree, it’s quite frustrating because sometimes it “smart charges” sometimes it doesn’t charge at all, I don’t change anything. Not sure if it’s the OVO app, cars app or Indra app - any help appreciated - getting annoyed now.

I was chatting with Indra this morning. They said their platform is having some stability issues at the moment which they’re working on - mainly due to the sheer volume of migrations from the legacy system.

They’re on it but please keep an eye out for now.

Thanks, hopefully that’s it. I thought it was sorted, had several successful trials and everything worked great. Work up this morning expecting a full charge - exactly as it was when I plugged it in yesterday lunchtime.

Finally managed to sign up to Charge Anytime and link my charger after much frustration and time spent yesterday pm with many unsuccessful attempts. It really was not a straightforward process, with OVO referring us to Indra for support and Indra referring us to OVO for support, neither of which was available over the weekend of course. Have given Indra my feedback accordingly.

When I say I have managed it, I haven’t actually tried it yet using the schedule to charge my car overnight but fingers crossed.

I’m confused and don’t know if we’re set up correctly or not! We’ve got the new Indra App, no problems there. Downloaded the OVO Charge Anytime App, put our details in, it wants to link the charger to the OVO account but it can’t find the charger. OVO chat said to call the Charge Anytime helpline, Charge Anytime said to call Indra. Meanwhile, the car charged fine last night, but will we get the credit?
