I have been part of the trial for a out a month and it has not been good for our house. The Havenwise software prioritises the use of electricity when it is at its cheapest. This led to the house being heated up to 24 Deg c plus at 0200 in the morning. This is way above a comfortable temp during the day never mind during the night when it kept me awake 2 nights running. I have now stopped that happening. However because of this methodology, it treats the heat pump like a gas boiler, heating the house warmer then required and letting it cool down, so we get the warmth when we don't really need it during the day and it's cool particularly on a night when we do. This is only our second winter with the heat pump, last winter was great, we ran it low and slow using weather compensation all day with a setback temp on a night. This winter although early days is nowhere near as comfortable. I am considering at this point of opting out of the trial.
