EV Cars Bank Miles

Hi

I am an OVO customer and have just ordered my 1st EV.

I have been advised about OVO Beyond and that you can bank 100 miles a month.

What isn’t explained is, exactly how does this work or get calculated? How do you bank and claim the miles?

Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

My Bad

Apologies for any confusion caused from my part.🙁

I only got my Bev the middle of May, just as the offer changed.

From what I see now, my free100 mile beyond offer ceased in May, literally just after I signed up, as ovo revamped the criteria

The new offer from beyond has just removed active charge anytime customers from receiving the free 100 miles a month & has in all essence past this offer over to customers who don’t drive with electric (albeit atm)

Yep, that’s right. I hadn’t noticed this offer in amongst all the other guff in the revamped app, but I looked last night and signed up, even though I have no current plans to get an EV. Who knows what might change in the next five years?

I hope @TheHollywoodStroller  realizes that he has to save up for two years to get the full whack. Since he’s already made his decision, it looks as though he’s not really in the target population for this scheme.

I had been poking around in the updated ovo app.

I’ve joined the bank solar panels in the beyond free rewards, as no reason no to.

But I’ve also managed to enlist in the bank EV miles aswell.

The problem being I’m already signed up to charge anytime & enjoying 7p EV charge rate.

Thought nothing more until an email from ovo stated I’ve banked 100 free EV miles.

I’m guessing my account should have put a block on joining the bank EV miles, so that needs to be looked at.

Also what happens once the system wakes up & realises I can’t have both components activated at the same time???

Hi @TomThumb,

The team have responded:

“They’re correct, they shouldn’t have been allowed to opt in if they’re already on Charge Anytime. This is something that we've picked up this week as well and we’re working through a resolution for this.”

Will let you know as soon as I know more about what the resolution may be.

@Shads_OVO

I'm a new customer with 2 EVs and have mistakenly signed up to the free miles offer when I should have gone for Charge Anytime. I've spent ages on chat with bots and agents, tried calling and got nowhere. How do I reverse this so I can add Charge Anytime?

Hi @Despearce ,

What EV’s and Charger do you have? If you can tell us more, we can offer advice that might unblock this and get you on the road. This doesn’t sound like something that should be blocking you, so I’m wondering if you’ve not done something yet?

If you can tell me what you’ve got, I can advise you on what to do next.

Alternatively, try 0330 175 9678 and the Charge Anytime team will be able to assist you.

 Cheers @Shads_OVO for the update.

 I’ve got nearly £40 of CA credit banked so far this billing cycle Vs 100 banked EV miles, so my billing next week will be fun to watch 🙈

@Blastoise186

Tesla Model 3 (2021) and Renault Zoe (2021) and the charger is Ohme home pro.

It was my mistake signing up to the free EV miles before reading it fully, then realising I couldn't sign up to Charge Anytime.

More hassle than it should be to just cancel one offer and start another though.

Gotcha! Please set up Charge Anytime via the Ohme app. :)

Any trouble, let the team know.
