Charge Anytime - Is there a timescale/roadmap for when other EVs will be supported?

Hi all - long time listener first time caller,

This is a Charge Anytime question aimed at any folks from Ovo who frequent the forums.

I have a Polestar 2, and a Pod Point Solo 3 charger.

Neither of these are currently supported with the new Charge Anytime, so I was wondering if there is an anticipated timeline for additional EVs to be added to the supported car list, or is it a case of Ovo rolling out new EV support whenever it can become available?

I appreciate a lot of this is out of Ovo’s hands & they are reliant on what the EV can actually do, but if there is an anticipated timeline for other EVs (if this is even possible) then it would be really helpful.

Many thanks!

Hi @Muppet In The Corner and thanks for the post.

Good question. I’m told it’s something that OVO (or more likely, OVO Group’s technology company, Kaluza) are working on. They want to expand this to as many EVs as possible. Getting you a time frame will be tricky though.

Out of interest, what is your EV make and model?

For anyone else seeing this you’re able to confirm eligible chargers and direct to vehicle eligible EVs here. We’ve also got a helpful topic linked below:

New to this, compatible charger on the way in readiness so sounds as if all will be well. I thought I would need to be able to select the car ( which I obviously have not got ) when enabling charge anytime.

No car needed if you’re using the Charger! Depending on what Charger you’ve got, the setup route varies a little.

Could ya tell me what you went for and I’ll grab the instructions?

Thanks!

In that case, please use these instructions to connect: https://ohme-ev.com/support/how-do-i-set-up-ovo-charge-anytime/

As you have Ohme, please DO NOT attempt to use the Charge Anytime app - you’ll want to do everything via the Ohme app once you’ve connected.

Don’t forget to DISABLE all schedules in the EV too! That’s important otherwise it’ll clash!!! :)
