Charge Anytime Credit Issues - 3 Months in a Row

Is anyone else having issues with anytime credit noted in the app not being credited in full to their bill. This happened to me in May, Jun and now agin July. Ohme integration was claimed to be the problem for May and Jun but told it was fixed but same again for Jul with circa £25 missing in credit. It took 6 or so calls and 3 complaints raised with a different agent each time before the May issue was resolved.

Morning @PJC15 and welcome to the Forum. I’ve added the EV badge to your Forum profile so that other members can recognise you.

I’m sorry to hear of what’s happened here. Your best bet is to contact the Charge Anytime team at chargeanytime@ovo.com and ask them if they can see what’s causing the issue, and what they can do to resolve things. We’ve had some similar topics like this:

However, it sounds like your issue may be slightly different. On the Forum we don’t have visibility of Charge Anytime accounts, so it’s best for you to get in contact with the team directly. Let us know how you get on!

Download the OVO Charge app from the App Store or Google Play.

I am just a Forum Volunteer - I don’t work for OVO myself.

OVO stopped “recommending” Ohme products several months prior to the situation where Ohme threw OVO under a bus, not least by yanking ALL Ohme products and services off of the OVO storefront around February/March 2025 which was around the time they became aware of potential issues.

As for the OVO Forum, Forum Volunteers such as myself and the wider Community have barely recommended Ohme for some time now - I switched to recommending other options like Hypervolt over a year ago and others followed suit over the months that followed. In fact, I tend to recommend Hypervolt a lot these days because my analysis indicates their stuff is really good and perhaps more importantly, their team is always happy and willing to help the Forum Volunteers out if we ever get stumped by a question that’s posted here.

Anytime we need to, we can simply reach out to Hypervolt ourselves and within ~15 minutes we’ve almost always either got the answer or Hypervolt has armed themselves with a heads up that the user who asked the question here is about to get in touch and their team is already prepared to pick up where we left off on the Forum thread. It proves quite a useful collaboration for that reason alone and it benefits everyone as a result. We get useful content for the Forum that genuinely helps folks out, and in return Hypervolt gets to enjoy a reduced load on their support staff which speeds up their response times. It’s basically a win-win situation.

The other players like Indra, Andersen, Zappi etc are generally pretty good overall too, albeit they don’t always quite get it right but it’s usually not far off. Ohme on the other hand, was always very hostile towards us and we found it difficult to get them to play nice, let alone collaborate with us (as in, the Forum Volunteers). Given the troubles we often had, I can only imagine what may have been happening behind the scenes. But those are questions for which, the answer may never be known.

Ultimately, I leave you with the same advice I’ve said many, many times before. It is your responsibility to do your research and due diligence to ensure the products/services you are intending to acquire are not only suitable for your needs now, but will continue to serve your needs in the long-term and that’s where a lot of folks trip up. Ohme was never the only Supported Charger with Charge Anytime - that honour goes to Indra as the first and original partner where they were the only option for about a year - and there were always other options you could have picked.

You can’t blame OVO for this as they didn’t force your choice of Charger - you had several to pick from and it was likely ultimately your choice that you went for Ohme.

Blastoise186. I think you have completely missed the point of my post.  It was not about the merits or otherwise of the Ohme charger nor whether it was , or was not the go to charger although my information is slightly different to yours either regard to recommendations. The point of the post is about OVO’s poor (albeit they say improved’ software) and the way, and the timing of their decision to drop Ohme and while possibly a coincidence, credit issues have occurred each month for many customers that post the dropping of Ohme indicating that their improved system is not improved at all, in fact it’s degraded and I believe is not fit for purpose; for 4 months in a row my energy account has not been credited the amount noted in the charge anytime app. Each time it has happened and subsequently correct after painful comms with them, and the anytime team’s assertion that the ‘bug’ has at last been fixed, it happens the next month, and the next. To my mind that is a system that was not stressed tested sufficiently before release and they are still bug fixing on a live system.

@martynprice99 and @PJC15 good morning to you both.

This is all frustrating to read and I know how I’d be feeling were I in your position. I’ve reached out internally to the Charge Anytime team to see if I can get some advice for you both, and I’ll be back in touch as soon as I hear from them. I understand you’re both in contact with them too. Hopefully I’ll have an update for you shortly.
