Waiting for current data (IHD3)


Hello! I had a smart meter installed back in early february - it’s been working great, no issues whatsoever. Except my wretched IHD is In my Home and not Displaying Anything. And it never has.

It’s connected to the meter, I think - has the right time on it, but the signal bars almost never go over that measly inner one - here's a picture I took with it about 6 inches from the meter - (it was 19:20 when I took the picture, it’s just taken me nearly half an hour to write this post… 💀)

I’ve tried turning it off and on again. I’ve taken out the battery, I’ve run down a battery, I’ve switched it off at the wall and back on with a battery. I’ve done every conceivable combination of turning it off and on again. Approximately daily for the past month. No dice. Every time is the same: correct time, waiting for current data.

Smart meter is slow flashing - everything but MESH and GAS (assuming GAS is for gas, which I don't have) - and gives me half-hourly readings on the app the next day.

Am I cursed? Is the IHD cursed? Is my meter cursed? Haunted?

I would *really* like to get it working, because I am the kind of geek who really enjoys this information, and an insufferable energy miser (and because the other week I ran out of oil, accidentally nudged the dial on the electric radiator i was using to keep from freezing, and managed to spend x11 my normal daily energy in one day… i’m still smarting from that)

Please… Save me from this ever happening again - (pictured: the exact moment I logged in and saw how much energy I’d used the previous day 😂😭)

This is usually an easy fix - just ask the Support Team to run XJoin and it usually fixes that.

This is usually an easy fix - just ask the Support Team to run XJoin and it usually fixes that.
