3 phase 200A smart meter install?

Hi - new to this forum - first question here….

We are currently building a new house and would need to get a meter (ideally smart) installed.

We have a 3 phase 200A incoming supply with a solar array (31 Kwp) with 3x Tesla power walls on the system.   The supply is a single family dwelling, domestic house only.

The electricity provider (SSE) is bringing power to our plant room and providing a cut out where the new meter should be installed.

Is this something OVO can assist with please?   Thanks very much.

Hey all!!

OVO can but the installation will be conducted by one of our contractors. A call to Customer Services specifically mentioning 200A supply, CT Meter and please dont book with Field Force (OVO direct engineers) should be sufficient to get an appointment.

Howdy @Nickcook100 ,

Please provide photos of the current setup, we’ll see what we can suggest from there.

Hi @Nickcook100 ,

there are various things that can be done but you would need to reach out to customer support to check and book.

This guide might help point in the right direction

From your post everything appears to be under control currently, so I’m not sure just what the question is here?

Are you looking for a -------??

Thanks for the replies to date - the tutorial is helpful thank you @BPLightlog .

@Nukecad sorry if my question / ask was not clear, what I’m looking for is confirmation as to whether or not OVO can install a smart meter on my 3 phase 200amp incoming supply.

The incoming upgrade work being undertaken by our DNO SSE, which brings power to our plant room and provides a cut out where the new meter should be installed, is indeed currently under control (albeit not yet complete hence no pics to share).

What I’m struggling with is getting a supplier to confirm that a smart meter can be hooked up to it!   So far Octopus and British Gas both seem unable to say yes or no and have just been giving me the run around!   I was hoping OVO would be my solution.

Gotcha, thanks for the context. OVO has the ability to do three-phase stuff but it’s a bit fiddly.

I’ll grab @Lukepeniket_OVO as he can generally figure out the best route - especially if you need a CT Meter.

@Nickcook100 How did you get on with this? We have the same situation with a small business and both Octopus and EDF are telling us we need to down grade to 100 amp fuse which requires our supply cable to be dug up and replaced which is ££££
