I don’t think you get them every day. sometimes l get the emails the next day and sometimes it’s to late. if l am going to work. It’s no good because can’t use electric at all.

Thanks for the updates, sorry I've been travelling. No, I didn't complete any survey, all I did was accidentally tap my webmail's button to unsubscribe from a mailing list, not the 'unsubscribe here' link at the bottom of the email itself. I haven’t had any Power Move Flex emails since doing that last Tuesday, before then I was getting several event emails a week.

I wish they send the emails early so you then know if you can opt in or not. sometimes it’s difficult if working you can’t as you can’t shift electricity to use then. maybe if it’s only a trial they may sort it out and work it out somehow.

I think the issue may be that you unsubscribed from your mailing app not from Power Move Flex, so I don't know how we can fix this if you’re still on the trial but not getting emails as it won't be an issue our side. What webmail do you use? I can try & look into this to see if you’re able to undo the action.

It's Virgin Media webmail, on Chrome for Android. There isn't any option to resubscribe on my end, the last Power Move Flex email still has an Unsubscribe button.

Ah yeah, I have a couple of friends who still use that webmail system. It’s not amazing… I’ll do some digging to see what I can find out.

Just wanted to give you a heads up about that actually, hope you don’t mind. If you ever leave Virgin Media, you WILL lose your email account after a 90 day grace period. They give you 90 days to pack up and move out before the account gets zapped, but there’s no way to extend the timer or recover the account after it’s purged. Their email service is no longer offered to new customers, so it looks like they’re dehydrating it as people leave.

You might want to keep that in mind in case you ever think of leaving VM.

Thanks, yes I encountered that with my wife's old Virgin account. Eventually managed to get her email address added to my account so that she didn't lose her emails!

I wonder if you could double check with the support team that you haven’t unsubscribed on our end from emails & marketing ​@joffonon?

Hi ​@Emmanuelle_OVO , I've just been told the following in a webchat with the support team:

In the app, my marketing preferences show email selected. I turned that back on last week, a day or so after the Unsubscribe incident.

What’s happened here shouldn’t have pulled you off the trial on our end. Is there any option to contact your email provider about this to see if they can resolve the issue on their end? I’ve found this page:

And indeed that's what they say, namely that tapping Unsubscribe sends an email to you and has nothing at all to do with Virgin Media.

Hey ​@joffonon, I’m afraid I’ve been advised by the team, that if a customer has unsubscribed from their mailing app, even if they're still on the trial there's nothing we can do as it's their mailer now blocking the emails.

OK, thanks for all your help. One last thing though, can the team try adding my email address manually to the trial email list? There isn't any Ovo email address on the mailer as a blocklist (I've checked), so it could be more that my email address has been taken off the list of trial emails that get sent out due to the Unsubscribe email being sent.

Hopefully the next time a trial comes along, if I sign up for it I'll get emails for it.

I’ll ask ​@joffonon 🙂 Another thought, although might be a bit inconvenient for you, I don’t suppose you have another email address you could register to your OVO account? Some people have several.
