Thanks for your post @saundersg21 and welcome to the OVO Forum!

I can see a few members have left some great answers here. @Vickiplum if you’re still confused, to confirm, Flex has ended, but we’ll let you know when a new event is going to start.

Power Move is still ongoing. You can find all the info in this guide:

If you mean emails about the Power Up events, that’s the Power Move Flex – season ended. I’m guessing it will be back some time soon (though, I have no information about it).

The Power Move is still happening. They stopped to send emails with your results. But you can always check them on your OVO app.

Hoping that we get another power move flex event this summer. So much investment in solar means excess should become available soon 🤞

It’s possible! At the moment, Power Move Flex is taking a temporary break but I’m pretty confident it’ll launch again later this year.

I have been opted into Power Move for a long while now. Just recently I noticed something I had not seen before, but I suspect that it may always have happened. Power Move rewards (now entries into a prize draw) are determined by the electricity used every day with the amount of electricity used during the 5 - 7 pm period Monday to Friday then being expressed as a percentage of that total usage. So the electricity used all day at weekends is counted in the total. At the start of this month we had two Bank Holidays and I noticed that they are recorded on Power Move as “No Data”. So none of the electricity used during those two days will be counted.

Hey @Bendog,

Since January of last year, bank holidays have not counted towards your Power Move targets. For more information, please refer to Section 8 (how do you measure peak use?) of the Power Move T&C’s.

Hopefully this is helpful 😊

It’s been a while since I shared one of my pretty graphics, so here’s my ‘worm’* for this month so far:

Click for a bigger picture
Grey cells: dates belonging to the previous and next months;
Pale pink: weekends; Dark pink: days ignored (here: bank holidays)
The last point on the curve is also the ‘Avg. peak use’ reported by the app - a convenient check on my arithmetic.

[OT: This little exercise presented a wealth of learning opportunities about charting in Excel, like how to show week numbers, how to produce a pseudo-datatable below the chart itself, how to line up the decimal points in the datatable cells, and the crowning glory: how to vary the colour of the worm to indicate how well or badly I was doing. Great fun for an old fossil with time on his hands (acquired by ignoring all the mundane household chores he’s supposed to be doing!).]

  • The ‘worm’ will be recognized by afficionados of white-ball cricket, where it’s used to show how well or badly a run chase is going by plotting both teams’ progress during their innings. There, the abscissa shows overs and balls bowled and the ordinate runs scored; each blob indicates a wicket.
