What are the Beyond SEG options?

Whilst looking at renewing contracts/ suppliers I was weighing up SEG options and saw that OVO offer 12p/kWh for beyond accounts.

I've been getting 4p/kWh for the last few years and would like to get the 12p.

I have beyond already, so what is this process to move over to this better paying SEG arrangement?

There are a series of rates available depending on various situations .. 

Just a SEG tariff

A SEG tariff and supplied energy by OVO (with Beyond)

A SEG tariff, supplied energy by OVO and had solar PV installed by OVO

There is an application form available but Customer Support should also be able to help.

 

SEG Beyond Exclusive

 

Available when:

✔ You can generate your own renewable energy at home

✔ Your installed capacity doesn't exceed 30kW

✔ Your electricity supply is with OVO

✔ You sign up to OVO Beyond*

 

You can check out more at the homepage here.

 

*SEG Beyond Exclusive is only available to customers who have their energy supply with OVO, and who are currently signed up to OVO Beyond, or join OVO Beyond within 3 months of signing up to this SEG tariff. If you don't sign up to OVO Beyond within this time we reserve the right to move you to another SEG Tariff.

Hello supercitybity

I don’t have solar and know next to zero about them. If I were you I’d contact customer service team and have a chat. Sounds a big difference in earning

With questions k know little about I usually make a list of the questions j think I’ll need to ask and j take screen shot periodically so I have any answers and suggestions easily available. 
j hope you get t he answers you need to enable you to migrate to OVO & obtain a better rate.

Yes, i have. I have gone around and around on the app and site and not found a clear way, so just emailed ovo now.

Thank you for changing the title to a question i didn’t ask, as i knew that answer to start with! Its probably easier to change the question to fit the best answer, than to offer an accurate answer! 

I know the options, its just moving over to the better one. I guess as SEG is such a niche offering its not worth adding it to the app.

To close this one out.

It a simple as emailing seg@ovoenergy.com and asking them to move me to the beyond (better) rate. They then wanted a video of my meter showing the current export rate and moved me over based on that rate. Very efficient, just a shame that the 12p rate isn’t advertised more. I believe my old/existing SEG account was closed down and a new one started.
