How do I get the 2hrs free electricity?

You can only get this offer if you have a Direct Debit and Smart Meters. If you don’t have them, you’ll need to set those up first. If you don’t have Smart Meters however, I’m afraid it’s now likely too late to get them in time to take advantage of the offer at this time.

If you do have them, you’ll see a menu item on the first screen of the app called Free Electricity - tap that and you can pick your slots.

You’ll need to install the OVO app on a smartphone or tablet.

Create an account and log in.

The app opens at the Home page, scroll down and click ‘’Free Electricity’.

Click ‘’choose your hours’’, I think they offer new ones on Sunday evening? You’ll be shown several choices of one hour slots, and you pick two per week.

‘’Upcoming slots’’ shows the hours you have chosen, theres a link next to that to add it to your calendar. In yur calendar you can set an alarm to remind you.

You’ll find lots of information on here plus some very clever people, who are only to happy to assist & answer your questions/queries.  I notice you already have lots of posts helping you navigate the App and deal with your question. So I won’t add anything, as it’s already explained. 
I like you, am an “older user” and I find technology challenging. In my day having a “golfball” typewriter was the height of technology😂 and Sinclair zx then Spectrum, was our entertainment 
If you read through a few posts & topics others have posted you’ll find things out you had no idea anybody would even ask🤪
