To confirm, Pay As You Go (PAYG) customers with traditional key and card meters don’t have access to any online account. Instead, credit is loaded onto the key / card at a PayPoint. However, PAYG customers with smart meters installed are able to top up their smart meters, and track their meter balances, via the OVO Energy Top-up app, which can be downloaded via the Apple App Store or Google Play. Sorry but not for that meter setup and payment type. With Traditional PAYG, literally everything is done on the meter itself and there’s basically nothing you’d be able to do via an online account, which is why you can’t set one up in these cases.
If you’d like to have one, you’ll need to switch to Pay Monthly first and get a Smart Meter installed to replace that existing PAYG meter. If that sounds like something you’re happy to do, give OVO a call on 0330 175 9669 and they’ll talk you through it.
