Just got a smart meter installed- How do I top up?
Hello I just got my smart meter and about to run out of the emergency units. Please how do I top up as soon as possible?

If you’ve got a smart meter, you can top up online and on the app remotely.
How can I top up my Pay As You Go meter?
You can add credit to your meter via the following options. Top up anything between £1 and £200 at a time.
Helpful to know: you’ll need to add credit to your electricity and gas meters separately (if you have both).

OVO app
You can top up anytime using your smartphone. Just download the OVO app from the Apple App Store or Google Play. Features of the app:
- Securely store payment details for faster top-ups
- Top up any amount between £1 and £200
- Track all top-ups
- In Person

You can also top up at any PayPoint, Payzone shop, or Post Office. Bring your top-up card(s) to pay over the counter. Find your nearest:
- PayPoint or call 0330 400 0000
- Payzone shop or call 01606 566 566
- Post Office
- Top-up online

You can also top up online with a payment card or bank details. If someone needs to top up on your behalf they should visit topup.ovoenergy.com.
- Over the phone

You can also top up over the phone. Just give us a call on 0330 175 9669 and select option “1”.
