Debt not reducing on traditional PAYG meter
I have a traditional pay as you go meter, and have recently found out that there is significant debt on it (£400!! I have a case open with OVO to understand when it was incurred since I have kept the meter in credit since I moved in years ago).
I have been topping up credit every few weeks without knowing about the debt, so am curious why those top-ups haven’t done anything to reduce this debt even if i didn’t know about it? Do you have to agree a repayment plan before any credit goes towards debt?
also if anyone has any idea how that much debt could be incurred i would be interested
