When do applications for the Warm Home Discount open?

Hi all,

Having just registered my interest in the Warm Home Discount 2019-20 the registration process finishes with this message:

"Thanks – we’ll be in touch as soon as you can apply for the 2019/20 Warm Home Discount."

I'm wondering if anybody can tell me when OVO will be in touch for me to apply for 2019-20 discount? Also once one has filled in the online form and registered interest in the Warm Home should you receive a confirmation e-mail?

​​The Warm Home Discount is closed for scheme year 2024/25 and will re-open again later this year. We’ll keep our topics updated with the latest information and eligibility, and you can check out the Government webpage here too for more.

 

What is the Warm Home Discount (WHD)?

 

The Warm Home Discount is a one-off £150 discount given to eligible domestic electricity customers to help with their energy costs. It's usually paid between October and March of each scheme year. It's a Government scheme funded by participating energy suppliers like us. It’s designed to help people who need it most.

 

Customers can register interest online here. 
 

If you need some assistance completing the WHD application when it opens, please contact our support team.

Any update on the Warm Home Discount 2020-2021, still no news when we can apply?

The latest I’ve head is this Wednesday, @mbc127 

 

I’m sorry that I can’t give a concreate date, but I know the team are working very hard to make sure the application process goes perfectly when it’s open.

Hi there @Clarebells ,

 

I’ve just had the email from OVO in the last few days confirming that the applications are now open for this year. The details in the email took me to https://www.ovoenergy.com/guides/energy-guides/warm-home-discount-scheme.html and you should be able to go from there.

    OVO have made a page dedicated to available financial support, please have a read to make sure you’re not missing out. 

     

    I’d also recommend completing our OVO Customer Support Package application form here.

    When will the WHD be applied to accounts? I had my letter from DWP Nov/Dec time and it’s still not been applied
