Hey @teresa.sullivan ,

Yup, that’s possible! However, it’d need to be in her name and there’s a specific process you need to do for this before you can do any of that.

If you DON’T have Power of Attorney, please see the thread below:

If you DO have Power of Attorney, this is the one you’re after:

If, however, you just wanted to help your mum set up her own online account, that’s totally possible too - just head over to https://account-activation.ovoenergy.com/confirm-email and set things up using the email address that’s already on her account.

Hope that helps.

Any questions, let me know by replying to this thread and I’ll swing by again.

I can’t think of a reason, not to. IMO All family members should, then be more aware of the homes usage to enable each individual take responsibility for their individual & collective usage.

There are use cases that exist where someone needs help managing their affairs. That’s where stuff like Appointee (for DWP/HMRC stuff) and Lasting Power of Attorney (for basically everything else) come into play. OVO fully supports the latter as long as it has been registered properly and allows all attorneys to act jointly and severally.

They’re designed to allow another trusted person take on the load if the account owner/holder can’t do so themselves.
