Change 'month end' date in usage comparison charts to mirror billing date

I understand that changing the billing date is not possible but I find it difficult to compare usage data with billing data when they don’t line up. Could the usage data monthly cut-off be aligned to the billing date for easier comparison?

This might not be possible I’m afraid. The usage data comes in direct from the Meter as-is and is intended purely as a guide - it should not be used for billing purposes.

I think it would make more sense if every customer were billed for the calendar month. I understand that this may be too much of a strain on the billing systems, though, if millions of bills have to be finalized at the same time.

There is also a suggestion that the usage charts should follow the week rather than the month. It makes much more sense to be able to compare, say, Sunday usage from month to month rather than usage for specific dates.

Hi @Andante

Thanks for your idea. I can see some great responses here from @Blastoise186 and @Firedog. We can’t change the Usage comparisons in this way at the moment but we’ll let you know in future if this becomes possible!
