Allow meter readings to be submitted for a date in the past

Allow a meter reading to be submitted for a date in the past. Due to the busy lifestyles we all have, sometimes it’s not possible to submit the reading via the website on the same day you’ve taken the reading.

I’m just checking this, @GavrilS - it’s an interesting one.

 

For smart meter customers (like me) where their readings are being sent at least every day, they won’t have the option to submit readings at all. If a smart meter has communication drop offs for 5 days or more, or if there isn’t a smart meter, a reading can be submitted. I’m not sure if this can be submitted for a day in the past, but I’m asking the question. Can you send a screenshot to confirm if you don’t have the option?

 

In the meantime, I’ll change this status to ‘open for votes’. If I hear it’s already available we can mark this as complete.

Hi Tim,

Please find a screenshot attached. As you can see, the field for “New electricity reading” is referring to “today”, so any meter reading submitted will be for today’s date.

 

(Please note that in this screenshot I’ve erased the number of my meter and the value of the last meter reading.)
