Tariff not switched from THTC to Economy 10 as agreed?

Hi @Ben_OVO @Chris_OVO

Just turned on my heating on Sunday and the afternoon slot 2.30-5.30 was fine albeit on minimum, evening slot 9.30 -1.30 came on but didn't charge ( no credit was used)morning slot 5.30-8.30 was also fine.

I phoned Customer Support on Monday to be told I am not on Economy 10 and have never been, I am still on THTC and no change of contract had been made after the meter swap.

I asked if my meter would need reconfigured but unfortunately they couldn't answer and instructed me to call the PAYG team.

Have just been on to PAYG team who transferred me to squad 70 ( a very nice guy called Jamie)who have done a pretty thorough investigation and it would seem multiple flags have been getting raised on my account since the swap but nothing actually done about it.

The squad 70 backroom team have raised the issue again so hopefully it will be resolved soon.

Just a quick update as of a phone call with squad 70 earlier.

These tariff issues have been amended and hopefully I am now on the correct tariff...we'll see...😉

Thanks as always to @Chris_OVO for his understanding and support through all of this saga

Hey @janie,

Thanks for keeping us in the loop! I’ve sent you a private message, so hopefully, you'll hear from Jamie soon to let you know when it’s all wrapped up.

I am going to do a full 24 hour monitor today and tonight, checking out how much credit I am actually burning through at the off peak times

@Ben_OVO  have monitored it for the last 24 hours and it seems to be charging and using credit as it should be, bearing in mind this heating is on minimum and only in one room at present so I will obviously monitor it as the season progresses and the other heaters are switched on and the required temperature is increased. If it's going to be unaffordable I might have to switch the 4 hour evening block off and switch it back on for the early morning charge. I don't mind paying for the luxury of warmth but not for warmth I'm not actually needing late in the evening, that's just false economy.

We'll see what happens in the coming months, on a side note, do you know what time the daily standing charges come off the credit or is it random times, I've never paid attention in the past but it would be interesting to know for factoring in to the cost.

Thanks

🤔 might be back to the drawing board for me tonight then because if the standing charge came off before 1.35 am then it looks like the evening block didn't use credit🤔 will keep it monitored,  if it came off between the end of the evening charge and end of early morning charge it still didn't use much credit, oh dear, feel am going round in circles 🙄

I've found that looking at the daily Live Balance the SC tends to be taken off overnight, but it can sometimes be mid day or even later before the previous day's usage is deducted.

Thanks Nukecad, it's something I have never thought about in the past and only now because I am trying to make sure my Economy 10 is working as it should and using the correct amount of credit as it's running ,am probably overthinking and over stressing over this, will keep an eye on it
