I like the display! Tells you just what you need to know.

It is about time that cylinder manufacturers started to provide simple displays showing how much hot water is available to use. Add in the ability to learn from both the environment (such as the cold water inlet temperature) and the occupants typical usage, and provide a better interface back to the boiler or heat pump, and you have a system ready for the 21st century. ​@BPLightlog  mentioned in Diary of an ASHP install part that, with a heat pump, you need to be careful timing the hot water cycles. If you can reduce the hot water cycle time, or even omit one, because you don't need a full tank of hot water, surely that must be an improvement?

I've gone the other way now and decided to use my wife as the temperature monitor. I just change the immersion heater timings for minimum comments from her and minimum cost.
