Hey @TetrusB

Welcome to the community!

I’m glad to hear that you had a great conversation with Jay. You should normally receive a survey on the agent you spoke with within 24 hours of your discussion with them. Another option is leaving a Trustpilot review of your experience.

I’ll send you a private message to get your account details and look to pass this thread on internally for you 🙂

Thank you Chris.

I've moved into a council tenancy, and switching to a smart meter, leaving OVO, (sorry about that), the £50 for each fuel, a month was a bit steep for me. Take care.

No worries.

Just worth mentioning that if you’re leaving OVO because you’re moving out, you can get the exit fees waived by using the moving out process. This rule is applied equally regardless of whether your new place is supplied by OVO or not. :)

Hi Blastoise.

I moved into the property that was supplied by OVO, council tenancy, all on my own, power shout there to the single ladies! 😂 But thanks for your reply. 😉

I think it’s more about the account, rather than the new supplier. At a new address you will need to create a new account even if it’s the same supplier. That means, that if the reason for cancelling your current tariff is moving home, you will not pay the cancelation fee. It’s like, new address – new life!

@costeek exactly this - we don’t ever charge an exit fee for moving home- it wouldn’t be fair at all as a house move can be something that happens at the drop of a hat sometimes.

We only charge the exit fees if you switch suppliers, or move from one fixed plan to another, during your contract (and outside of your renewal window / cooling off period).
