Our partnership with Volvo is ending. We’ll be stopping our promotional £50 charging credit if you switch to OVO and join Charge Anytime with an eligible Volvo. You’ll still be eligible to charge your Volvo at the exclusive rate of 6.66p/kWh - day or night - on Charge Anytime pay as you go.

I have a Volvo EX30 and charge it at 7p per kWh with OVO charge anytime. OVO require you to use an Indra charger which enables them to identify your EV charging consumption. Check out the OVO website, as they will arrange installation of the charger for you. The only issue is the Indra app is not compatible with Volvo so you have to use the website which looks exactly the same as the app and all works very smoothly.

The Volvo EX30 isn’t compatible with Charge Anytime, however a number of other Volvos are, as well as a large number of other EV’s.

You also have the option of using Charge Anytime with any EV, so long as you’ve got a compatible charger. You can view all compatible EV’s and chargers here and our FAQ’s page here for all of the most up to date Charge Anytime information.

Hi @Caws ,

Not at the moment I’m afraid, sorry!

What Charger do you have or are planning on getting?

I was holding off to see if the car was compatible or not.

I see. I’ve just checked and your Volvo definitely isn’t compatible right now.

The best option is to go from an Ohme or Indra charger such as the ones listed at https://www.ovoenergy.com/electric-cars/smart-charger#choose

Any of those on that page (EXCEPT the Hypervolt) are already compatible with Charge Anytime and will just work.

Errr @Chris_OVO ...the Volvo EX30 is still not listed, so no happy charging just yet.

What options are available from OVO for EX30 owners?

      Hey @darren_p,

To use Charge Anytime, you’ll need either a compatible vehicle or charger.

If you check the list of compatible chargers and see that you have one, great! You can simply link it to Charge Anytime. I’ve included an article below that will guide you through the process. If you have any questions, feel free to ask!

      I hope this helps!
