Trying to complete the EV charger survey but cannot switch on the camera and microphone for the walk around video on an iPad. Any help appreciated. Thanks in advance

Hi, now resolved, needed settings, apps, safari then camera and microphone. Thanks

Is this a survey following an OVO installation of a charger? How are you trying to open the survey? Is it in a web browser? It may be that the settings for the app your using to open the survey haven’t allowed permissions for camera or microphone. 

 

If you’re trying to open it via the OVO app or a web browser such as Chrome, go to the iPad settings, then search for the app you’re loading the survey through and double check the Microphone and Camera access has been allowed (it should show the slider as green).

 

Exact appearance may vary

Can anybody answer how to do the same with an Android phone please?

 Again it depends if you’re using the app or a web browser, but the following steps should allow you to use the camera/microphone:

For the App - go to Settings, then navigate to Apps > [Your App] > Permissions > Camera and select "Allow only while using the app". Alternatively, you can use the Permission manager under Security and Privacy to see a list of apps and grant or revoke camera access individually. 

For websites, open the browser's settings, go to Site settings > Camera, and allow access for the specific site.
