I am plagued by my Skoda Elroq disconnecting itself when plugged in before OVO have set a schedule on my Hypervolt 3 charger. This means that I have to wait until the schedule is set before I can go out and plug in the charger.  Not good on a dark and stormy night. Has anyone any clues as how I can set up the Elroq so that I can plug in when I get home and expect it to start charging when the charger becomes live?  In case anyone from OVO is reading this, please note that if I weren’t getting my 10000 free miles under VAG scheme, I would switch straight away. This charging glitch is extremely inconvenient and your basic charges are too high, especially when you link it with the lack of a domestic off peak rate.

Hi @pebattrick ,

You have a Hypervolt so I’d recommend you keep the setup as-is and set a different schedule that’s a bit sooner than what you’ve currently got - this may help mitigate the issue.

Still having trouble? Give the team a call - 0330 175 9678 or chargeanytime@ovo.com

Hey @pebattrick

I’m glad to see Blastoise186 has already stopped by with some helpful advice here.

I also checked this with the Charge Anytime team who said, it could be that the Skoda isn’t liking the pausing of the charging on the Hypervolt. If you’ve not already, you could try unlinking the charger and linking directly to the car instead.

You can connect either the car or the charger, so if its not working they recommend trying 'the other' way so trying via the car instead. They also noted just to make sure the Hypervolt is unlocked when scheduling the charge.

Do let us know how you get on.

Thanks, I will try linking to the car, if I can work out how to do it. It would help if the schedule start time was indicated ahead of time.

Just about to change from charger controlled to car controlled with my Hypervolt/ Skoda Elroq set up.

I tried to delete the Hypervolt from the Charger entry on the Charge app. failure! result is that after deleting the Pro3 charger, the Home Pro 3 is still listed as the charger but when going to add the car as the charging device I get a screen which says OOOPs couldn’t load the result. Not what I want to see as I clearly don’t have any way of charging my car !

Well here we are, 3 daays later and I have just had a very bruising email exchange with Skoda when I complained about this issue. The issue being that after connection my car to OVO charge app as the charging device, all seemed to be well with a charge schedule set to start at about 12 midnight. This morning no charge had been delivered and the skoda app was warning that the data receiver had been disabled.  The knub of Skoda technical Services response is that  It’s all my fault and if I keep doing this then they will disconnect me from the data services. If someone from your marketing/technical team would like to contact me I can share the email exchange. At the moment it seems to me that neither the Skoda app nor the OVO charge app are compatible. You both claim that you are compatible and clearly you are not.

This is a serious problem for me and I guess all otrher cars in The VAG group which want to use the charge rates available from you, and Octopus I suppose, which use the same back end software.
