Genesis GV60 registration to the OVO Charge Anytime app

Hi,

Genesis GV60 is eligible and listed under Hyundai. But unable to register it to the App as it asks for Hyundai user account credentials (to connect to Hyundai's BlueLink). Genesis is a separate entity than Hyundai and has its own user account (and connectivity app 'Genesis Connectivity Services' - GCS).

Please advise on how to register Genesis GV60 to the OVO Charge Anytime app.

Thanks

Hey @Lingy

Sorry for my delay in response here, I picked this up with the Charge Anytime team who’ve said;

‘Unfortunately we’ve had to remove the Hyundai GV60 from our list of beta vehicles for Charge Anytime. When we recently expanded our list of Hyundai beta vehicles, we weren’t aware that GV60 owners use the Genesis app rather than Bluelink, which is what our onboarding journey was designed for. We’re really sorry about this.

We’re looking into whether we can support GV60 via the Genesis app in the future. But we can't say at this stage when we’ll be able to make this happen. Thanks for taking part in Charge Anytime. We’ll be in touch if we can support your vehicle with Charge Anytime in the future.’

We are continuously trying to progress and integrate new EV and smart charger models. While this takes a lot of work from the Charge Anytime team at OVO, it also requires a lot of work and input from the potential new manufacturers to make sure their hard and software are compatible with our technology too. We hope to continue expanding the list of compatible models, so do keep an eye out here and on the compatible EV/ smart charger list.

I’m sorry it’s maybe not the answer you were hoping for right now but we do hope to keep progressing the technology we use, and adding to our compatibility list continuously.

Download the OVO Charge app from the App Store or Google Play

Hey @Lingy,

We're sorry it wasn't the answer you were looking for. It's not that we don't want to support customers, as stated above. It takes a lot of effort from both our side and the manufacturer's side to get the partnerships to a level that works for you as the customer. If we hear anything more about support for Genesis or Tesla in the future, we'll post an update on the Forum.

As much as we'd love to keep you on as a customer, it's understandable that you might need to move suppliers to make the most of your current setup, and for that, we wish you nothing but the best. If you do ever have any questions, our Forum is open to all customers regardless of their supplier.
