EV Charging APP issues starting Sept 2026

I have a Easee charger and BMW IX3 Neue Klasse accessing Charge via the Charge Anytime app. No schedules are setup on the Charger or car, the charging is controlled via OVO on am Ipho e running IOS Ver 26.6.1. It has been working for 2 months without issue and Sept 2026 I saw odd results in the app.

  1. The car did charge overnight to the desired charge limit
  2. Even though the car was charging the app said not connected
  3. the app did not show me the option to overide the OVO schedule and charge immediately
  4. the app did not sync to the car charge %
  5. after the charge the app did not show me the charge details e.g. kWh, Cost saving.
  6. I deleted the app and reloaded with no change.

Anyone had similiar/same issues starting September and identified the issue?

Hey @GKC

Sorry to hear about the issues you’ve been having.

I checked in with the Charge Anytime team on this one.

They’ve asked that you ensure your OVO Charge app is fully updated and your vehicle's connection to the OVO systems is stable. It’s possible that the OVO Charge app was not in control of the charging session at all and something else was controlling it. They’ve advised to double check schedules and settings too - as sometimes if the EV, or charger goes through an update - the settings can reset and cause issues like this.

If all of those seem fine, they also suggested it could be something as simple as a wifi issue - if it keeps recurring, please contact the team.

Do let us know how you get on.

Good morning

You do not appear to have fully read my email.

No sessions set in ether my car or charger

No software updates

I deleted and reinstalled the OVO charge app

I will take a further look at it today.

But if my car charged to the desire % overnight i.e. not immediately it must have charged at the cheaper rate controlled by OVO. My wi fi is good and therefore the communicates via the cloud how does the app not see it has charged? The only thing I Can someone please check my account settings with OVO.

Hey @GKC

Sorry none of that was helpful. We don’t have access to accounts here at the Forum.

If you’ve double checked all of the advice from the Charge Anytime team, it’ll be best to then get in touch with them directly as already suggested. Check this topic for all contact details for the team so you can go via your chosen route.

Similar issues began this week. I’ve owned a Tesla Model 3 for three years and never had any problems with Ovo Charge until now. Yesterday my car started and stopped multiple charging attempts, charging from 25% to 42% - the limit for both Tesla and Ovo Charge is 80%. Today, I plugged it in at 11am and to be ready by 3pm but it didn’t start at all.

Before you advise me on the basics, let me clarify: my Ohme charger is disconnected the entire time. All apps are updated and I’ve removed and re-linked my car on the Ovo Charge app. Nothing works.

Also, when I click urgent charge it doesn’t charge either.

Hey @Kachaka,

The window from 11am to 3pm may be a bit short for fully charging your vehicle, unless you’re using the urgent charge feature for a quick boost. Charge Anytime desgined as a great way to charge when demand is lower on the grid, making charging as green as possible!

While we can’t access your account or vehicle data to see why the charge hasn’t gone through, the team would be more than happy to help! Just click the link below to reach out to them for more insights.
