Hi, I can see there's an offer for 12 months free Ev charger cover. Does anybody know if there are any cancellation charges if the cover is cancelled within the 12 month free cover period? Thanks

Hey @Elevonic

I’m glad to see one of our community members has already stopped by with some helpful advice here.

I double checked the Terms & Conditions for the 12 month charger cover, section 23 states the following;

‘23.3 Cancellation charges if you’ve not made a claim - If your policy is cancelled during the ‘cooling-off period’, (the first 14 days from the date you receive your policy documents, or 14 days from your renewal date), there will be no charge. Unless financial sanctions are in place, any premium you have paid for the policy period will be refunded. If your policy is cancelled after your cooling-off period, you will be charged for the number of days you have been on contract for, plus an administration charge of £30. You will never be charged more than the remaining premium to be paid for the contract.

23.4 Cancellation charges if you’ve made a claim - If you have made claims on the policy you will be charged the remaining policy premium. You will never be charged more than the remaining premium to be  paid for the contract.’

You can view more on this in the full terms and conditions here, section 24 is specifically dedicated to cancelling so that section may be helpful.

If you’ve got any other questions, do let us know.

It’s primarily considered an insurance type product. Cancellation fees would be (for the most part) the remaining payments of the policy.

I’ll have to ask how this works for the 12 months free thing.

Hi, thanks for the reply.

I’m still confused as if its 12 months free then there's no premium in the first 12 months so what would the remaining premium be? Thanks.

There wouldn’t be any premium to pay if the premiums are currently zero for you.
