Charge app - Two-Factor-Authentication code won't work?

Had a hypervolt pro 3 installed yesterday. I am having trouble with the OVO charge app, trying to add my telephone number when I enter the return text 6 digit code it’s always saying wrong. I’ve rebooted my iPhone. I shall try ringing but just wondering if anybody has had this issue? Without I can seem to get the cheaper rates, the account information is correct.

I had a email back which means nothing to me so a phone call what to do.

It appears there are currently two separate accounts set up:

  • One account is linked to your phone number ending in ????, but this account is not linked to your OVO account
  • A second account is linked through your Apple account, and this is the account connected to your OVO account

If you would like to add your phone number to the account linked with your OVO profile, the original account linked to your phone number would first need to be deleted.

You can do this by logging out of the 2nd account, and logging back into the first to delete it.

Hey @DFC202,

I hope your installation went smoothly and that you’re excited to start using your new charger. It’s a bit puzzling that the two-factor code isn’t working for you.

I suggest giving the team an email at ovocharge@ovo.com. They’re really helpful and can take a look at your account. They might be able to remove and re-add your number to get things sorted.

Please keep us posted on how it goes! I haven’t heard of anyone else having this issue, so I’m curious to see what happens.

I have spoken to them this morning. The advisor has raised a ticket she said never heard of this previously.

@DFC202 I hope they can get this fixed for you soon. Please let us know when they get back to you.

If you haven’t done this already, I’d highly recommend deleting the Charge app from your device altogether, and then installing it again. This may not work, but worth a go whilst you’re waiting for Charge Anytime to get back to you.

Morning @DFC202, that’s great news! Did you try anything else to get it working, or did it just start working of its own accord?
