I have a shiny new Q4 e-tron with newly installed Zappi 2.1 integrated to Charge anytime. I have oberved an interesting behviour (repeatable). With the car connected and a ‘ready by’ set, if not charging immediately then the Q4 errors after a short while  (infrastructure) and flashes red at the interface. However….and this is the intersting part. If one waits then at some point OVO kicks in an charging starts. So it seems to be a form of timer/ wait condition. Has any one else found this?

Well, if it’s working I’d say don’t mess with it! :)

This behaviour is normal and suggests you might be hooked to the vehicle - check the OVO Charge app as it’ll tell you there. It’s normal for charging to start for a few minutes until OVO takes control and pauses the session. Smart Charging from there will be at CA rates.

If your EV is experiencing charging issues that are unresolved, you can find the Charge Anytime contact details, and more useful articles here:

Hey @canonach ,

Which device did you link to Charge Anytime? You have a compatible Charger so that’s normally the best experience!

the Zappi…. I think ( but am not totally certain)  that the issue may be more to do with how the Q4 handles wait times.
