I have my FIT set up with OVO but my energy supplier is now E’on Next. E’on requires me to have a smart meter.  Will this cause any issues for the FIT process for OVO and/or myself?

Great question this one. Glad to confirm that a smart meter upgrade with your current energy supplier won’t affect your FiT arrangement with OVO. Your new smart meter will be able to clock your export readings, however you’d still need to submit these manually to  our FiT team when required.

 

It might be worth checking with your supplier how you’ll be able to access this export reading on the type of smart meter they plan to install. This can vary meter to meter (as an example check out the thread below for how this can be seen on an OVO smart meter):
