Hi all,

Just had an EV charger installed at my MiL’s for me & my wife’s cars and would like to switch my MiLs plan to OVO from Scottish Power as I don’t believe they offer cheap rate EV charging.

She hasn’t got a smart meter yet, my question is- can we request a Smart Meter fitting as part of the switch process, or do we switch then get a Smart Meter, or get one fitted then switch?

I know what we need to do, just not sure in what order!

thanks in advance

Howdy @ceejay81 !

I’m one of the forum volunteers here. Welcome. :)

You’ll need to complete the switch to OVO first and then request the Smart Meter once the switch is done. That’ll be the fastest way.

If you’ve got other questions, definitely feel free to pop them on the forum and we’ll answer them if we can.

Hi @ceejay81 , it’s worth just looking at compatibility for the set up. You will either need a compatible charger or compatible EV

We have had an Ohme Home Pro fitted, same as the one we have at our house with the Charge AnytIme add-on
